PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile server apparatus capable of transmitting only text data to other client apparatuses. SOLUTION: A user enters the text data and information of transmission destinations to which the text data are to be transmitted on a WEB menu of a client personal computer 30, and the client personal computer 30 transmits an HTTP request message including the entered data to the facsimile server apparatus 20. A main control section 101 of the facsimile server apparatus 20 in response to the transmission of the request message receives the request message and transmits the received text data to the entered transmission destinations by using, e.g. the HTTP procedure (a step S16 in Fig. 4). The user applies the operations to the WEB menu on the client personal computer 30 to allow the facsimile server apparatus 20 to transmit only the text data to the other client apparatuses.
