PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate for nozzle, wherein erosion permissible thickness can be secured and the manufacturing cost is reduced. SOLUTION: A two-step type sliding nozzle 1 is constituted of the nozzle holes 21, 41 having sliding-side opening holes 211, 411 and fixed-side opening holes 210, 410, respectively and also, provided with two pieces of plates 2, 4 arranged so that the sliding-side opening holes 211, 411 can be connected to each other. This two-step type sliding nozzle 1 can be opened/closed by relatively sliding two plates 2, 4 to change the communicating state of both sliding-side opening holes 211, 411. The plates 2, 4 for nozzle are used at least as one side between two plates 2, 4. In the nozzle holes 21, 41, at least the sliding-side opening holes 211, 411 among the sliding-side opening holes 211, 411 and the fixed-side opening holes 210, 410, are deformed opening holes, wherein the whole length in the opening/closing direction is set shorter than the whole length in the perpendicular direction under almost perpendicular state to the opening/closing direction.
