PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus which enables, in a condition of low powered transmission and a high frame rate, both the imaging of a contrast effect and the imaging of tissue conformations before and after injecting a contrast agent. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus comprises a transmit and receive unit 15 which transmits an ultrasonic wave having a rough band center of a fundamental frequency to a subject and generates a receiver signal in response to an ultrasonic echo from the subject, a harmonic unit 17 which extracts a signal of a harmonic component and a signal of a fundamental wave component having a rough band center of the fundamental frequency that are contained in the receiver signal, and a display unit 18 for generating a display image based on the harmonic and fundamental wave component of an extracted component means.
