PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the efficiency of nucleic acid recovery in a technique for making silica to adsorb the nucleic acid in the presence of chaotropic ion to recover the nucleic acid. SOLUTION: This method for recovering the nucleic acid includes at least a process for making a nucleic acid solution treated with chaotropic ion to pass through a fine passage in which a silica microbeads-accumulated portion having an inner diameter of 0.32 to 1.00 mm is formed, and making the silica microbeads to adsorb the nucleic acid.
