In order to open aseptically closed containers composed of a plastic film using a closure apparatus (1), a piercing puncher (3) which is specially designed for plastic films is required. The cylindrical piercing puncher (3) has three teeth (34 - 36) in the form of cutting elements distributed over its circumference at the lower edge, said teeth being distributed over the circumference such that the distance between the first tooth and the second tooth is X and the distance between the second tooth and the third tooth is Y, while the distance between the third tooth and the first tooth is Z. In this case, two teeth must be provided with a leading shoulder (350 - 351) in the direction of rotation of the teeth when the container is opened and the third tooth must be provided with a trailing shoulder (352). This allows the film of the container to be opened in spite of high flexibility and robustness.
