<p>According to the present invention there is provided a phosphorus containing liquid including the combination of at least one phosphorus compound selected from the group consisting of phosphorous acid, hypophosphorous acid, polyphosphorous acid, polyhypophosphorous acid, and salts thereof; and at least one urea compound. The phosphorus containing liquid is characterised therein that the molar ratio of the total urea compound to the total phosphorus compound as set out above is at least 0.5 : 1. The invention also relates a method of preparing such a phosphorus containing liquid.</p> |
