Redundant electromotoric drive system

The system has a motor converter/driver with a half-bridge circuit activated in two electronic half-bridge switching units (T1, T2). The circuit is retrofitted around third switching unit (T3) for motor current supply, where the third unit is controlled in such a manner that the unit is switched into both flow directions during normal operation. The converter function is closed during malfunctioning of two switching units, where high current flow is produced during malfunctioning of two units. The control of the third unit is deactivated and is closed by the high current flow.
