A method for transmitting data between mobile communication terminals using a camera equipped in the mobile communication terminal are provided to display binary data with white and black colors on the screen of a source mobile communication terminal and enable the mobile communication terminal of the other party to photograph the screen and recognize data of the white and black color, thereby significantly improving a data transferring rate and enhancing the performance of data transmission and recognition. A method for transmitting data between mobile communication terminals comprises the following steps of: displaying binary data composing the data on a screen in the first mobile communication terminal which wants to transmit data(S100); photographing the screen of the first mobile communication terminal in the second mobile communication terminal which wants to receive data(S110); recognizing the photographed image and converting the recognized image into binary data in the second mobile communication terminal(S120,S130); and transmitting a control message requesting that binary data corresponding to an image, which can not be recognized, is redisplayed on the screen to the first mobile communication terminal when the second mobile communication terminal can not recognize the image of the screen that the second mobile communication terminal has photographed(S140).
