A retaining wall structure for a coast protection system is provided to prevent overflow and coastal erosion by efficiently reducing kinetic energy of wave and inducing a circular stream with a protection wall. A retaining wall structure includes base concrete(10) installed under the water with plural anchor bolts, a protection wall(20) having a foundation(21) fixed to the base concrete with plural fixing holes and a flange(25) recessed, rounded, protruded and laid in the coastal excavated area to flow round along a wall, and a protection wall support member(30) having a connecting rod(31) fixed to the flange, a first wire(33) combined with the connecting rod, a support rod(37) attached to a support plate and laid at the seaside, a second wire(35) combined with the support rod and a turnbuckle(39) connected to the first and second wires to pull the first wire to the support rod. A net(41) is mounted to a fence(40) in a lower part of the protection wall to restrict gravel or foreign matters from colliding with the protection wall, and the support plate is attached to the support rod to improve the fixing force. The retaining wall structure is constructed by charging stone and earth between the excavation surface and the retaining wall and planting therein. |
