A hairdresser's masking aid for masking selected strands of hair comprises at least two opaque panels 2, 3 of flexible sheet material which are capable of being hinged apart to receive the strands of hair. The tipper portions 24, 94 of the panels are arranged to embrace the roots of the selected strands of hair to be treated and the device is characterised by having a window 86 on the top edge 24 of the upper panel 3 for inspection of the progress of the treatment in the root area. The upper panel may also have a further window 80 to inspect other areas, while the bottom panel may have a top edge which is made stiffer by folding on itself the top edge (See Fig.40). The bottom panel has spaced adhesive islands 93 defining channels there between. A reservoir (13, Fig.7) may also be defined between the two panels. |
