<p>The column has retainer clips (7, 7`) that are fed through laterally for an inner-lying profile part (2). The retainer clips are provided for fitting or welded the column with a front and rear region of a roof rail section, respectively, over respective welding points at a connection region. An enclosure flange of the inner-lying profile part is disconnected at the connection region. The inner-lying profile part consists of high-strength steel.
