FIELD: sectionalized glass-forming machines for forming glass articles. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed blow molding unit of sectionalized glass-forming machine is used for blowing the glass billet and cooling it after blowing for forming the bottle which is removed from blow mold. Blow head is lowered on blow mold and air is fed for final blowing. At a preset period of time after interaction of blow head with upper surface of blow mold, blow head is raised above upper surface of blow mold to selected vertical distance to position of exhaust of used air, thus evacuating cooling air from blow mold. Vertical distance is so selected that at least minimum pressure is maintained in molded bottle. Blow head is kept in position of exhaust of used air within preset period of time after which it is retracted. Vertical distance and time may set as required. ^ EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of removal of heat from molded bottle. ^ 5 cl, 32 dwg |
