摘要 A method for detecting errors in a position calculation system based on artificial landmarks is provided to improve safety of the system by reducing probability to provide error position information which is caused by erroneous artificial landmark detection. A method for detecting errors in a position calculation system based on artificial landmarks includes the steps of calculating and storing a distance ratio of physical distance(D1,D2) between artificial landmarks, and image distance(d1,d2) with reference to a previously stored spatial coordinate and an image coordinate of a couple of artificial landmarks detected in an initialization process, comparing the stored distance ratio with the image coordinate and the spatial coordinate of the artificial landmark detected in a location calculation process after the initialization process, and determining the distance ratio as an erroneous artificial landmark if the distance ratio is deviated from a predetermined range. After the step determining the distance ratio, the initialization process which re-recognizes the artificial landmark is performed.
