The subject of the invention is novel pyrazolo[3,2-c]-1,2,4-triazoles of formula (I) which are useful for the oxidation dyeing of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, the compositions containing these compounds and the dyeing method using them. in which R1 represents a hydroxyl group or a C1-C4 alkyl group substituted with at least one hydroxyl radical, and R2 represents an aryl group which may be substituted with at least one radical chosen from the group consisting of halogen, nitro, cyano, alkyl, hydroxyl, alkoxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, acylamino, sulfonamido, alkylthio, alkoxycarbonyl, carboxy and sulfo radicals.
