An image processing apparatus and an image processing method are provided to improve the convenience of a user when the user selects a channel. A signal receiving unit(30) receives image signals of a plurality of channel groups which has a plurality of channels, respectively. An image processing unit(40) processes the received image signal. A display unit(50) displays an image corresponding to the processed image signal. A control unit(80) controls the signal receiving unit(30) and the image processing unit(40) to arrange and display the images of the channels by a channel group unit, and to move and display the images according to the channel conversion input of a user by a channel unit or the channel group unit.
