FIELD: data input devices; computer engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: optical joystick can be used in computer input devices, in trainers, playing automatons etc. Joystick has case, movable item with two and more degrees of freedom, and one or more radiation sources, which form illuminated areas onto multi-element photodetector. Location of the areas completely corresponds to position of movable item. Radiation sources and photodetector are disposed motionless and they are connected optically one to the other through mirror or system of mirrors disposed onto movable item. Items of movable connection are made elastic to return movable part into initial position. ^ EFFECT: prolonged service life of joystick; improved comfort at use. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg |
