A roaster is provided to improve the heat efficiency and rapidly roast the roasted object by placing the inner container whose upper and lower diameters are narrow and center diameter is large and staying the heat for a long time inside a housing. A roaster is composed of a cylindrical housing(2) whose upper part is opened; an inner container(4) made of a ceramic material and installed in the housing, wherein the upper side is shaped like an opened cylinder; a burner(6) installed in the inner container; and a roasting plate(8) mounted on the upper part of the burner. The upper and lower parts of the inner container have narrow internal diameters and the center part has a large internal diameter. A penetration hole(22) is formed on the lower surface of the inner container. A bracket is extended toward the inside of the inner container through the penetration hole in the housing. The burner is installed at the bracket.
