A portable filter for generating reduced alkaline water and a method thereof are provided in a capsule structure for convenient handling thereof such as carrying, keeping, cleaning, exchanging and convenient use in combination with a beverage container for purifying or reducing water therein. A portable filter for generating reduced alkaline water includes a capsule(1) formed of a capsule body part(12) having a plurality of water passing holes(2) and a receiving space part(3), and a capsule lid part(11). A leakage blocking net(4) is mounted in the receiving space part of the capsule and filled with mixture purifying substances(5).
