A plasma display panel comprising an electron emitting device is provided to improve electron emission characteristics by forming the electron emission device at a position corresponding to pairs of sustain electrodes. A first substrate(110) and a second substrate(120) are arranged opposite to each other. A plurality of barrier ribs(113) are arranged between the first and the second substrate in order to define discharge cells. A plurality of address electrodes(111) are arranged across a plurality of pairs of sustain electrodes. An electron emission unit is formed on the pairs of sustain electrodes. The electron emission unit includes an electron emission amplification layer for amplifying emission of electrons within the discharge cells by using voltages applied to the pairs of sustain electrodes. An emission layer(115) is disposed within the discharge cells. The discharge cells are filled with discharge gas.
