The kerbstone (1) has one end surface (8) which contains a concave recess and another end surface (9) presenting a corresponding convex profile so that the kerbstones can be laid end to end whilst allowing a wide range of different angles between two adjacent kerbstones. The concave and convex profiles are formed by a series of flat sub-surfaces (10) connected to each other at the same obtuse angle.
