#CMT# #/CMT# The device has a fork shaped part with arms having free ends (24, 26) retained on a glove compartment cover (10) by a fixation device (25) and held in a retainer (27) of a fixed part (14) e.g. fascia, respectively. Other ends of the arms are connected with each other so that the arms become closer. The fixed part has a passage (15) to guide one arm, and the retainer is formed as a single piece with the fixed part. The passage and fixation device are contiguous in closer position of the cover and fixed part, and are separated by a distance less than the length of the arm in a spaced position. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for positioning a storage compartment e.g. glove compartment, cover and a fixed part e.g. fascia, of a motor vehicle with respect to each other. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The positioning device can be made of a single piece, so that the device does not require a separate fixation device on its parts, and can be formed and assembled in an inexpensive manner.
