A slip joint for use in a universal joint is provided to reduce vibration and noise by removing clearance between parts so that reliability and durability of the product can be improved. A slip joint for use in a universal joint transmits rotational force from a driving axis to a driven axis while absorbing axial force between the driving axis and the driven axis. The slip joint comprises a shaft(105), a pipe(106), a ball(204), a ball guide(301,302), and a spring pin(300). The shaft is connected to the driving axis and has a pin guide groove(303) formed along outer circumference thereof in a length direction. The pipe is connected to the driven axis and has a hollow pipe form for inserting the shaft therein. The pipe has a pipe groove(201) formed on inner circumference thereof and directing the pin guide groove to form a cylindrical space with the pin guide groove. The ball is received in the pipe groove. The ball guide is disposed between the pin guide groove and the ball in close contact with the ball. The spring pin closely contacts the ball guide and the ball toward the pipe groove.
