The procedure for designing a dippable lamp with a lens (La) separated by an air gap from a light source with at least one LED consists of selecting a lens with an output surface (As1) that can be linked by smooth and continuous surfaces with the output surfaces of similar modules. The input surface (Ae1) of the lens is shaped to provide a dipped beam without the use of a mask.
