A slip joint equipped with a clearance compensation mechanism is provided to considerably reduce vibration and noise by an embossing plate and also improve steering accuracy of a vehicle. A slip joint equipped with a clearance compensation mechanism transmits rotational force of a steering shaft to a gear box. The slip joint comprises a pipe(106), a shaft(105), and an embossing plate(400). An inside of the pipe is hollow. The shaft is operated in a sliding manner in connection with the pipe. The embossing plate is connected to the shaft and has spherical embossments(401) formed on both sides. A slit(402) is formed among the embossments. More specifically, an embossment protruded on one side and another embossment protruded on a bottom surface are alternately formed in a length direction of the embossing plate. The embossing plate is connected to the shaft by a fixing bolt(403).
