The steering system without mechanical linkage consists of an actuator (1) for one wheel (2) that is connected to the rest of the vehicle through the wheel assembly alone. The wheel has an arm (5) and hub carrier (4), and the actuator (1) is in the form of an electric power cylinder connected to the arm via a universal joint (8) and designed to rotate the hub carrier via a ball joint (7) as it is extended and retracted.
