<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal identification method and a transaction method for localizing and preventing damage due to illicit use of an unauthorized user by limiting contents of services (automatic transaction). <P>SOLUTION: In the personal identification method for an online system which is configured with an automatic transaction apparatus and a center apparatus, wherein a user uses a card to perform automatic transaction for his or her deposits, a first PIN (personal identification number) used when the user uses an automated teller machine 10 with his or her card and a second PIN for use in lock deposit in the deposit are set in the center apparatus 20.
