MICRO LENS SUBSTRATE, LIQUID CRYSTAL PANEL AND PROJECTION TYPE DISPLAY APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a macro lens substrate for a counter substrate having excellent optical characteristics and durability and capable of being favorably applied to manufacture of a liquid crystal panel; to provide the liquid crystal panel provided with the micro lens substrate; and to provide a projection type display apparatus.

SOLUTION: The micro lens substrate 1 provided with a large number of micro lenses 121 has a substrate 11 with concave parts constituted of a glass material and having concave parts 111 having shapes corresponding to the micro lenses on one surface thereof and a convex lens substrate 12 provided on the surface side of the concave parts of the substrate with concave parts and having convex parts having shapes corresponding to the concave parts and is characterized in that the convex lens substrate is constituted of a silicone resin. A covering glass is not disposed on the surface side opposite to the surface opposed to the substrate with the concave parts of the convex lens substrate.
