PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change a friction in the extending stroke of a front fork according to the position of the front fork in the extending stroke in the fork of a motorcycle. SOLUTION: In this front fork 10 of the motorcycle, a piston ring 70 is fitted to the outer peripheral part of a spring collar 31 always positioned on the inside of an axle side tube 12, and a piston ring slidable-contact surface 12A in slidable-contact with the piston ring 70 and an enlarged-diameter surface 12B joined to the piston ring slidable-contact surface 12A through a tapered surface 12C are formed on the inner peripheral part of the axile side tube in the movement range of the piston ring 70.
