PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ion-exchange membrane improved in physical durability and bondability to an electrode catalyst layer, while keeping wettability as it is, to provide a new sulfonic group-containing polymer capable of being used for the same, to provide a membrane/electrode bonded material given by using the ion-exchange membrane and/or the sulfonic group-containing polymer, to provide a fuel cell, and to provide a sulfonic group-containing polymer composition. SOLUTION: This sulfonic group-containing polymer comprises a repeating structure expressed by chemical formula 1. The ion-exchange membrane obtained from the new sulfonic group-containing polymer or the composition thereof has such an excellent effect as to realize the high durability and high output power in comparison with conventional hydrocarbon-based ion-exchange membranes, when used as the fuel cell.
