PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packing case for an optical device having a higher industrial productivity which can deal with the automation. SOLUTION: This packing case for the optical device comprises a lower case of which the upper surface is opened, and in which a housing section is formed, and an upper case which covers the opening section of the lower case and the optical device being housed in the lower case. On the side end sections of the lower case, a chucking holder having a bending strength higher than that of the lower case, and suppressing the deformation of the confronted side ends of the lower case is provided.
