PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the easiness of driver's in getting on and off a vehicle by improving the shape of a grip for assisting his getting-on and -off motions. SOLUTION: The grip 16 for assisting one's get-on and -off motions has a grip body 20 with approximately circular arcuate shape extending in the vehicle width direction while forming a gap 18 to admit hand access to the area relative to a seat back 14 is reserved and an auxiliary grip part 24 protruding from that end part of the grip body 20 located on the side with a get-on/-off opening toward the seat back 14. The over-part of the auxiliary grip part 24 is formed as a hand placing surface 24A to admit placing of the hand of the driver etc., while the side with the get-on/-off opening of the auxiliary grip part 24 is formed as a hand hitching surface 24B to allow the hand to hitch there. The part between the auxiliary grip part 24 and the seat back 14 is provided with a finger inserting gap 30 having a length L in the direction of going apart from the seat back 14 admitting insertion of a finger and a depth D from the hand placing surface 24A of the auxiliary grip part 24 admitting the finger hitching at the auxiliary grip part 24.
