PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make jaggy which occurs on the side edges of a recording paper in conspicuous as much as possible. SOLUTION: When the detection of the position in the main scanning direction of the side end edge of a heat-sensitive recording paper 10 is completed, a system controller 41 specifies a line number K on which the tilting of the colored heat-sensitive recording paper 10 occurs based on the position in the main scanning direction of the side end edge of each line being stored in a data memory 64. When a line in a vicinity of the line number K is an odd number line, image printing data is formed in such a manner that the whole of a line image may be printed. In the case of an odd number line, the image data is corrected in such a manner that side edge pixels may not be printed, and the image printing data is formed. A thermal head 20 is driven based on the image printing data which is formed in a printing data forming section 53, and an image is recorded by one line at a time. Thus, the boundary between a margin which is generated by the tilting of the side edge of the recording paper 10, and the end section of a printed image is gradated into a wave shape, and jaggy becomes less conspicuous.
