PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support structure, simplified in structure, facilitating height adjustment, and also used as an overturn preventing implement for furniture. SOLUTION: This support structure, the height of which is adjusted, includes: a strut 1; a lower locking member 5a and an upper locking member 5b connected to hold the front 1a and the rear face of the strut 1 between them; and a support member 3 connected to the lower locking member 5a and the upper locking member 5b to extend forward, which gives angular moment to the lower locking member 5a and the upper locking member 5b, thereby pressing the lower locking member 5a and the upper locking member 5b to the strut 1 to lock a strut 2, and provided with a support part on the front side.
