The spring has two connecting sections (12, 14) and two components (9, 10). The component (9) has a force transmission unit (16), where a retainer (13) is formed in the unit (16). The force transmission unit (16) has a connecting unit (20) for producing form-fit connection with a rotatable shaft or a hub unit that is fastened at the shaft. The force transmission unit has an inner contour that is different from circular shape and is provided with projections and/or return springs. An independent claim is also included for a belt pulley having a torsion spring.
