A heater comprising a screen, shaped as a trapezium, which limits the soil-heating area and moisture accumulation, and is made of a water-proof and heat-resistant material, and a heating element to heat soil and infiltration water, which is arranged above the bottom of the screen and made as a heat-conducting electrical cable. The proposed invention can be used to irrigate farm crops and to protect soil against freezing.
