A data transpose device for an 1-panel optical apparatus is provided to be improved in a cost aspect, an access speed aspect, and a storing capacity aspect by converting input data of row direction arrangement into input data of volume direction arrangement by using a DDR(Double Data Rate) burst mode. DDR memories(73A,73B) store input data of a transposed RGB video signal by a frame unit. If an RGB video signal arranged in a row direction is received from the outside, a video data converting unit(70) temporarily stores a certain line, reads input data of an RGB video signal of the temporarily stored certain line by volume direction arrangement, and stores the transposed video signal in the DDR memories(73A,73B). The video data converting unit(70) reads the transposed data stored in the DDR memories(73A,73B), time-divides the read data according to colors, and outputs the time-divided data to a driver IC(74).
