<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyelectrolyte membrane/electrode assembly with improved radical resistant property, as well as a fuel cell using the same, with durability as a fuel cell improved with characteristics of polyelectrolyte membrane such as proton conductivity intact. <P>SOLUTION: The polyelectrolyte membrane/electrode assembly having a polyelectrolyte membrane made of at least a hydrocarbon proton conductive polymer contains (A) one or more kinds of compounds selected from a group consisting of a phosphite antioxidant, a thioether based antioxidant, and hindered amine based light stabilizer in the hydrocarbon polyelectrolyte membrane, and also contains (B) a phenol antioxidant in an electrode catalyst layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
