DRIVE UNIT OF OPENING/CLOSING BODY FOR VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit of an opening/closing body for a vehicle which can effectively absorb impact loads applied to tension rollers.

SOLUTION: This tension mechanism 14 comprises: the pair of tension rollers 15 which are brought into contact with respective wires 13a and 13b between the opening/closing body and an output rotator 11, and can be moved in the direction of tensioning or loosening the respective wires 13a and 13b; a main urging means 17 for constantly urging the respective tension rollers 15 in the direction of tensioning the respective wires 13a and 13b; and an auxiliary urging means 18 for urging both the tension rollers 15 in the direction of tensioning the respective wires 13a and 13b by coming into pressure-contact with the respective tension rollers 15 when the pair of tension rollers 15 is moved by a predetermined amount in the direction of loosening the respective wires 13a and 13b.
