PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium-iron disulfide primary battery, capable of suppressing degradation of discharge capacity and of suppressing increase in the open circuit voltage. SOLUTION: This lithium-iron disulfide primary battery is provided wit a positive electrode 2 having a positive electrode mix containing iron disulfide that is a positive electrode active material; a negative electrode 3 having a negative electrode active material; and an electrolytic solution prepared by making an electrolyte in an organic solvent. Metal powder is included in the positive electrode mix. Thereby, the degradation of the discharge capacity can be suppressed and the increase of the open circuit voltage can be suppressed.
