PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a camera with a focusing function achieving a small release time lag and having highly quick photographing performance. SOLUTION: The camera with a focusing function is constituted to perform photographing operation where the quick photographing performance is prioritized when an SW 2 is turned on before achieving an in-focus state. Namely, by prioritizing operation that focusing control is performed with focus decision reference considering depth in accordance with a stop value and the sensitivity of an imaging device is made high so that an aperture-stop can be a small aperture to make the depth large, sequence that the camera is focused without performing focusing operation to the extreme is achieved.
