PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sensor electrode terminal from being disconnected and to achieve cost reduction in a liquid crystal display element packaged with a temperature sensor on the electrode forming surface of a terminal section of a display panel. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal element has a liquid crystal display panel 2 provided with a panel electrode terminal 6 in the terminal section 4 of a transparent substrate 3 and a thermistor 11 packaged on the terminal forming surface 4A provided with the panel electrode terminal 6 in the terminal section 4.
