PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock of a silent operation sound for suppressing an operation sound by reducing the operation sound by a lock mechanism constituting member generated in response to locking-unlocking operation. SOLUTION: The inside of a lock box 13 is incorporated with at least a potbellied shaft 11 being the lock mechanism constituting member, a dead bolt 15 projecting and retreating from the lock box 13 by following the rotational movement of the potbellied shaft 11 and supporting/fastening members 33, 37, 39 and 45 of a pin and a machine screw. Resin hollow blocks 55A, 55B and 55C formed in the substantially same shape as this space part, are arranged in the space part of not arranging the lock mechanism constituting member in the lock box 13.
