PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioning unit for a vehicle capable of preventing leakage of water to the outside of a unit case while improving installing efficiency to a car body. SOLUTION: This air conditioning unit furnished with the unit case 11 having a mating face 18 along the vehicle vertical direction and an opening part 17 through which a pipe 42 communicating the inside and the outside of the unit case 11 passes on the mating face 18 is provided with a water catchment groove 25 formed of an inside wall 23 facing the inside of the unit case 11 and an outside wall 24 facing the outside of the unit case 11 on a portion 17b along the vertical direction of the vehicle of an opening edge 17a of the opening part 17, a water catchment chamber 26 communicated with the water catchment groove 25, positioned on a lower part of the opening part 17 and formed of a lower end part of the inside wall 23 and a lower end part of the outside wall 24 and a return hole 23a communicated with the water catchment chamber 26 and the unit case 11.
