PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components so that a reduction in cost, facilitation of attachment and rationalization can be attained, and handling of cloth under sewing is made easier so that workability can be improved and sewing mistake can be reduced. SOLUTION: In a thread cutter device 18 which comprises a movable knife 15 which can swing back and forth inside a horizontal plane, a fixed knife 16 and a thread clipper plate 27 which can elastically clip an end of a thread with the movable knife 15 after cutting, a movable knife driving mechanism comprises a driving connecting linkage 26 whose end is connected with a position displaced a little from a swinging central shaft 19 of the movable knife 15 and is extended in a cylindrical bed 1 towards garment feed direction and an air cylinder 20 which has a movable rod section 21 which is fixed at a rear anchor side in the cylindrical bed 1 and connected to the other end of the driving connecting linkage 26.
