The invention concerns the branch of chemical machine building, in particular, filter presses, and it can be used for separation of liquid heterogeneous systems in chemical, food and other adjacent branches of industry, and also at purification of industrial waters and sewages. A filter press contains front and rear rests connected together by a top beam, from which filter plates and pressure plate are suspended and mechanism of displacement of plates is located, which is made in the form of hydraulic cylinders. In the rear rest of filter press a mechanism of clamping of plates is installed. Filter plates are separated by intermediate filter plates into several unloading sections. Initial suspension is supplied into the packet of filter plates compressed by means of clamping mechanism.
