<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take full advantage of an exhaust pulse to improve an EGR rate, in a wide operating range, in a multiple cylinder engine having an internal EGR device making exhaust flow back to a cylinder during intake stroke by opening an exhaust valve. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust manifold 23 is divided for each cylinder group wherein an exhaust stroke is not overlapped, passage parts 26a, 26b of a tapered nozzle shape are disposed immediate upstream of a confluent part 25 of exhaust manifolds 23a, 23b, and a turbine 12b of a turbo supercharger 12 is connected with immediate downstream of the merged part 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
