<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust respective display devices while displaying a normal image by a tile display system. <P>SOLUTION: The respective display devices of the video display system receive display data imparting a plurality display frames and display the display frames in sequence. A choice of whether display frame(s) in the display data are display content frames F<SB>1</SB>, F<SB>3</SB>, and F<SB>4</SB>to be displayed in sequence or an image frame F<SB>2</SB>for adjustment of display characteristics among the plurality of display devices is made and the frame F<SB>2</SB>for adjustment is embedded in series F<SB>1</SB>to F<SB>4</SB>of display frames to be transmitted in sequence to display units.
