<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft top vehicle roof of opening type able to give a favorable outside appearance visually even in the storage position. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle roof of opening type equipped with a soft top cover cloth 3 held by a soft top link device 2 arranged so that a seal carrier 8 provided with a seal element 12 is in contact with a side window 11 in the side region in the closed condition of the vehicle roof 1, wherein the seal carrier 8 is formed as an independent retainer portion held movably and performs movement relative to a soft top moving mechanism 4 to impose a load on the soft top link device 2 during movement between the closed position and the storage position, and wherein the soft top cover cloth 3 is fixed to the seal carrier 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
