<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club by which the position of a gravitational center can be made deeper to make the gravitational center low and the directional stability and the flying distance of hit balls can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The golf club has a head 10 constituted by projecting a top portion 24, a sole portion 16, a toe portion 18, and a heel portion 20 to the back side of the back face 12b of a face portion 12 along the peripheral end portion of the face portion 12 forming the ball hitting face of golf balls, and forming a cavity 26A open to the back side within the top portion, the sole portion, the toe portion, and the heel portion. A back portion 28 is formed having an inside face 30 facing the back face 12b of the face portion 12 by extending from the sole portion 16 to the back side, a top portion side recessed portion 32 recessed to the sole portion 16 side is recessedly formed in a center portion in a toe-heel direction of the back portion 28, and the inner face of the top portion side recessed portion 32 is formed by the inclined face 32a which keeps the back side arranged above the face side relative to the reference horizontal face P. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
