PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent element with high light-extraction efficiency and with few dark spots and little degradation of life, by dissolving problems of property degradation of its electroluminescent layer fitted with a light-extraction layer. SOLUTION: A translucent body 4, light-extraction layers 5A, 5B and an electrode layer (a first electrode layer) 3 are arranged in that order to make up a laminated body for an electroluminescent element. The light extraction layers 5A, 5B contain 0.5 to 20μg/mm<SP>3</SP>of moisture and volatile organic ingredients. An electroluminescent layer 2 and a second electrode layer 1 are arranged in that order on the first electrode layer 3 of the laminated body for the electroluminescent element to make the electroluminescent element.
